The SH-4d is feature-packed, especially if you're a fan of classic Roland sounds. It comes loaded with a variety of drum machine and synth voices that sound great. On the downside, there's no song mode, there is also a fair amount of menu diving involved, which can be a bit tedious at times.

Für mich ein sehr gelungenes Gerät mit faszinierenden, äußerst vielfältigen Sound- und Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten. Roland hat endlich einmal, in Form, Haptik und Struktur, wieder etwas "Neues" gewagt. Die Verarbeitung ist wie gewohnt sehr wertig. Möglicherweise ein kompakter Klassiker der kommenden Jahre.
