ONYX BOOX Poke 3 is a premium e-book reader in a compact slim body with an E Ink Carta Plus screen, MOON Light 2 backlight and SNOW Field function. E Ink Carta Plus is the latest generation of screens made by "electronic paper" technology. The display of the device has high resolution and contrast, the pixel density is 300 pixels per inch, which corresponds to high-quality paper printing. Reading on such screens is as comfortable as on regular paper pages. Display E Ink Carta Plus has a lighter substrate and higher contrast and resolution than any screens of this class. It allows you to read in bright sunlight and has a high redraw speed. The absence of flickering backlight and the principle of image formation using the "electronic ink" method makes reading comfortable for the eyes. The multi-touch touchscreen provides easy-to-read control: taps, page shifting, two-finger zoom, mark up in text and use additional functions.

SNOW Field is an operating mode of the screen, allowing to reduce the number of artifacts on the screen within partial refresh. If this function is on, full refresh of the screen is not needed.

The MOON Light 2 technology enables one to use the device in the dark or under poor lighting conditions. When this function is in use, soft luminescence of the screen comfortable for reading in dark rooms is being generated. It also has a color temperature control and, thanks to the use of Flicker-Free technology, the front-light system is perfectly smooth.

The model has a compact, lightweight body with a thickness of only 6.8 mm and an ASAHI protective glass which is located on top of the E Ink screen and protects it from scratches and other damage. The new glass made it possible to abandon additional sides, so the screen is flush with the body of the device. This makes the work with the e-book more comfortable and its appearance more modern. Plus, a special coating reduces the chance of glare on the screen.

In addition, the reader is equipped with a high-performance 8-core processor and has 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory allows the user to store a whole library.

The integrated Wi-Fi module and touch control in combination with a full-fledged browser allow you to comfortably use the device to surf the Internet. The built-in Bluetooth module makes it possible to connect various external devices to the book. Poke 3 is based on the Android 10.0 operating system, which allows you to use a variety of reading programs and makes working with most text formats as convenient as possible.

The device supports OTG, which allows you to connect additional peripherals that do not require the installation of additional drivers

In addition to the standard way of copying ebooks with the help of a USB cable, you can transfer them via Bluetooth or a Wi-Fi channel when connected to the Internet. Also a new cloud PUSH service "Send2boox" is available.

The BOOX software allows the user to open files of various text and graphic formats. When reading you can change font style and size, disposition of pages, insert bookmarks, add your own fonts and zoom documents at your will.

The book's software allows you to install additional dictionary databases in the Stardict format at your wish or to download offered dictionaries automatically when you connect to Wi-Fi in the dictionary settings. The BOOX allows the user to read documents in different world languages. Amongst them there are such languages as Russian, English, German, French, Spanish, Arabic, Swedish, Chinese, Japanese and many others.

Poke 3 allows the user to write personal software using the potentials of the Android 10 platform.
